Signing Ceremony of Agreement between Govt of Ghana, KNUST and UNESCO

In her speech at the 214th Session of the UNESCO Executive Board, H.E. Ambassador Anna Bossman announced to the board that Ghana will be signing a tripartite agreement with UNESCO for the Centre of Excellence in Engineering Innovations, Manufacturing and Technology Transfers, hosted by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi. A category 2 Centre, the first of its kind in Africa.

She stated, “This centre of excellence which Is perfectly in line with Africa Union and Regional priorities will contribute to the enhancement and promotion of scientific research and technology transfer and engineering solutions in the subregion. This will bring the number of Cat 2 Centres in Ghana to three”.

The signing ceremony took place on 6th April 2022 at UNESCO in Paris.
