In a significant move to support H.E. the President's efforts to reset Ghana’s energy sector, the Ghana Mission in France facilitated a high-level study tour for key energy sector managers this past November.
The Mission hosted a delegation from the State Interests and Government Authority (SIGA), led by Professor Kpessa-Whyte, assisting them in their mission to benchmark global best practices and lessons learned from the French energy landscape.
Key Objectives included:
• Benchmarking Best Practices: The Mission arranged engagements to help the delegation study efficient management systems that can be adapted to strengthen Ghana's energy grid.
• Assessing the Transition: A core focus of the visit was to assist the delegation in understanding exactly which stage Ghana occupies in its energy transformation journey compared to European standards.
• Defining the Mission's Role: The engagements allowed the Mission to better understand the sector's specific needs, clarifying how the Embassy can continue to assist with technology transfer and strategic connections moving forward.
A Commitment to Support: By successfully hosting and assisting this delegation, the Ghana Mission in Paris reaffirms its readiness to serve as a bridge, ensuring that the "Reset" of our energy sector is supported by valuable international insights and diplomatic resources.
