H.E. Mavis Ama Frimpong held a productive meeting with officials of the French Foreign Ministry to explore opportunities for deepening bilateral relations between Ghana and France.
Discussions focused on key areas of cooperation including gender and youth development, security, and trade. The engagement also highlighted skills and labour mobility, particularly the export of skilled professionals such as nurses and teachers from Ghana to France. Given the security situation in the sub-region, the need to safeguard national frontiers was emphasized.
On trade, talks centred on strategies for accessing and penetrating the EU market, as well as adding value to agricultural products, especially tree crops like cocoa, in line with government’s goal to process 40–50% of local produce.
