Diaspora Summit 2025

The Diaspora Affairs Office, Office of the President, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is scheduled to host a Diaspora Summit from 19^th to 20^th December 2025, under the theme “Resetting Ghana: The Diaspora as the 17^th Region”, at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

The highlight of the Summit will be a Keynote Address by the President of the Republic, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama on 19^th December 2025. The Summit will among others aim at resetting the agenda for the mobilisation of Diaspora Communities towards the country’s Development Agenda.

The overall objective of the Summit is to explore preparations and heritage linkages within the broader African agenda to re-position Ghana as a central hub for Pan-African Cooperation and deliberate on strategies to strengthen institutional linkages between the Government and the Diaspora to harness skills, resources and innovation.
